Keyboard shortcuts
Full customization of Scene Cut keyboard shortcuts.
The Shortcuts tab in preferences (Cmd + ,) lets you view and customize all Scene Cut keyboard shortcuts.
Organization
Shortcuts are organized into six categories:
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| File | Open a video, export |
| Edit | Add a subtitle, merge, fix |
| View | Edit mode, prompter, minimap |
| Transport | Play, pause, forward, rewind |
| Navigation | Next/previous subtitle, next error |
| Timeline | Zoom, offset, cascade, snap |
A search field at the top of the list lets you quickly find a shortcut by name.
Customizing a shortcut
- Click the shortcut you want to change — the row enters recording mode
- Press the new key combination you want
- The shortcut is saved immediately
If the chosen combination is already used by another shortcut, Scene Cut offers to replace the old one or cancel.
To delete a custom shortcut and revert to the default, press Delete during recording.
A blue dot to the left of the shortcut indicates it has been customized from its original value.
Reset
The Reset All button at the bottom of the list restores all shortcuts to their default values. A confirmation is required before the operation.
Custom shortcuts are saved globally — they apply to all projects, not just the current one.
