Per-subtitle AI suggestions, full linguistic audit, and provider configuration.
Scene Cut includes an AI assistant that helps improve the linguistic quality of subtitles — spelling, grammar, style, line balance. The AI does not replace the subtitler's judgment: it suggests, and it's always the human who decides whether to accept or not.
The assistant has been specifically guided to respect the linguistic rules specific to each supported language — French typography, Spanish accents, German punctuation conventions, etc. Its suggestions take into account the active standards profile and character limits, so that an accepted suggestion doesn't create new compliance errors.
Two levels of intervention are available:
- Per-subtitle suggestions — targeted rewriting of an entry with before/after comparison
- Project audit — complete linguistic review of all subtitles
- Configuration — provider choice, API key, model
AI requires an API key from a compatible provider. Scene Cut does not include a built-in AI service — each user uses their own account. Local models (via Ollama) work without a key or internet connection.
